Frederick County Public Schools shall provide personal leave for all full-time and permanent part-time employees to be used for personal reasons that are not covered by the sick leave plan and to be administered in accordance with the following provisions.
- Accrual of Personal Leave Allowances
- The accrual of personal leave allowances for all full-time and permanent part-time employees will be equal to two (2) days per year for 10-month employees with a less than 200 day work schedule, three (3) days for 10- and 11-month employees with a work schedule greater than or equal to 200 days, and four (4) days for 12-month employees.
- Temporary, part-time employees shall receive no personal leave allowance.
- Utilization of Personal Leave Allowances
- Personal leave shall be reported in the same manner as sick leave and other causes of absences.
- Unused Personal Leave
- At the end of each fiscal year, unused personal leave will be rolled into sick leave.
