506R - Sexual Harassment/ Harassment/ and any Other Discrimination Based on Race, Color, National Origin, Age, Religion, Political Affiliation, Sex, Disabilities, or Veteran Status

Frederick County Public Schools Policy 506, Sexual Harassment/Harassment/and Any Other Discrimination Based on Race, Color, National Origin, Age, Religion, Political Affiliation, Sex, Disabilities, or Veteran Status prohibits any form of workplace harassment or other discrimination.  Any student or school personnel who believes he or she has been the victim of sexual harassment, any other harassment, or any other discrimination based on race, color, national origin, age, religion, political affiliation, sex, disabilities, or veteran status by a student, school personnel, or a third party should report the alleged harassment as soon as possible to either the building principal, guidance counselor, supervisor, or one of the compliance officers designated in Policy 506.  The Complaint of Harassment/Discrimination Form included with this regulation is available to employees when filing complaints.  Using this form to file the complaint in writing is recommended; however, failure to do so will in no way jeopardize the reporting party’s right to protection under the policy.  Filing a complaint verbally is acceptable.
