705P - Vendor Relations

Vendors and their associated sales representatives are recognized by the school board to be an important part of the dissemination of educational and product information, which assists school division operations.  However, the school board does not want employees distracted from their primary purpose of educating students.  Therefore, the superintendent is directed to establish such regulations as are deemed necessary to assure proper relationships between employees and vendors, and additional regulations to assure that vendors and their sales representatives do not visit the schools or departments without permission from the appropriate site or department administrator.
